Every new client will be asked to read and sign Le Chic Pooches’ Policy Agreement prior to any grooming services being performed. Hereinafter, we will refer to you, the consumer, as “Client.”

Payment Information

Our rates are based on the Size, Breed, and Condition of the pet, special needs, and duration of the groom. Nail cutting and ear cleaning are part of the service unless the process is too stressful for the pet or too dangerous for the groomer. Or in some cases requested by the client due to health condition/s.

All payments are to be paid upon completion of grooming service. We accept Apple Pay, Cash, Venmo, and Credit Cards as form of payment. Clients are responsible for covering any processing fees associated with their chosen payment method, as determined by merchant services.

We do require a credit card on file before accepting any appointments and to be added to our waitlist. There will be a $0.50 pre-authorization charge, and this charge will be dropped immediately after the card is authenticated. We require an updated credit card on file if the previous card has expired to secure future appointments.

Estimated amounts before appointments are not guaranteed pricing since we have not assessed your pet in person. Due to the amount of mixed breeds and various conditions of the pet, we can not guarantee the exact amount of the groom will cost. We shall adjust more or less according to changes to your pet’s care needs such as weight, condition and special needs as your pet’s life changes. We work diligently to educate to provide the support you and your pets needs, failing to follow recommended best practices at home could result in additional costs to future appointments based on the condition of the pet.

Cancellation/ No Show/ Trip Fee/Additional Fees

Le Chic Pooches strives to provide excellent service, but on rare occasions, circumstances like inclement weather, illness, or equipment failure may necessitate appointment cancellations. We’re committed to promptly rescheduling your appointment to fit your schedule. We highly value communication and will never disrespect your time by failing to show up without notice.

If we must cancel, you can expect a text message or call from us as early as possible. We request that you also respect our time by notifying us promptly if you need to cancel. Please note that cancellations within 24 hours or less will incur a $50 charge. Any Appointments that are canceled within 2 hours of the appointment time will be charged for the full amount of the appointment (in cases of new clients, you will be responsible for the estimated amount provided unless other wise discussed.) which should be settled promptly. We will notify you of a charge to the card on file unless you provide us a different payment method.

For clients with multiple pets/New clients, deciding at the last moment not to groom one or more of them will result in responsibility for the cost of the entire groom. To maintain clarity in appointment scheduling, we’ll send you a text message three (3) days before your appointment and another one (1) day before to confirm your scheduled time, And a reminder on the day of the appointment.

Matted and/or Neglected Coats

Excessive de-matting can be a painful, time-consuming, and Costly (In addition to the regular grooming cost, ranging from $10-$400 depending on severity of the condition and the size of the pet. We charge by the duration of the need, conditions of skin and type of matting) process that could cause extreme discomfort for your pet in some cases. It can also aggravate or lead to skin problems and irritation, particularly if moles, warts, or skin folds are trapped within the mats. Please be aware that neglecting your pet’s coat can/could result in issues after grooming, such as clipper or brush irritation.

If your pet doesn’t remain calm and still or respond to proper training techniques, accidents like cuts or nicks from clippers or scissors can occur. Heavy matting can also trap moisture near the skin, potentially causing mold, fungus, bacteria, or skin irritations that may have been present before grooming. The process of mat removal may lead to itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations, abrasions, or even hair regrowth failure.

In cases where de-matting isn’t feasible, we will move forward with an automatic “shave-down” option for your pet’s coat for their best interest, which incurs an Additional fee from your regular grooming fee, ranging from $100-$400 depending on the severity of the condition, skin condition, and the size of the pet. Shaving down a pet’s coat requires intense focus to ensure your pet’s comfort and safety. Be aware that this may dramatically change your pet’s appearance, with the hair very close to the skin. This can expose pre-existing skin conditions, and closely shaven pets are susceptible to sunburn. We recommend applying sunscreen daily or keeping them out of the sun until their coat regrows sufficiently to protect their skin. Consulting with your veterinarian for additional guidance is also highly recommended.

It’s essential for the client to take 100% responsibility for the condition of the pet’s coat and not hold Le Chic Pooches responsible in the event of adverse effects from mat removal or a shave-down.

Vaccination Requirements

To ensure the safety of your pet and our groomer, Le Chic Pooches requires proof of your pet’s current Rabies(as required by law), Bordetella, Leptospirosis, Canine influenza vaccinations and along with its expiration date before commencing any grooming service unless otherwise discussed.

Safety & Dog Behaviors

Le Chic Pooches will work diligently to earn your pet’s trust with appropriate training. However, if you own an aggressive pet or a pet who has bitten someone in the past, or a pet that does not respond to proper training techniques, we have the rights to decline services for your pet. If you falsely represent your pet’s behavior during the booking process for an appointment, we will discontinue (cut short) grooming services and Client will be responsible for the full grooming charge. Client will be held liable for any bites or any property damage caused by their pet(s). For the groomer’s safety as well as your pet’s safety, Le Chic Pooches reserves the right to refuse service in the event that a pet cannot be properly and safely handled.

Senior Pets & Pets with Health Issues

Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for a senior pet or a pet with health problems. Because senior pets and pets with health problems have a greater chance of injury, these pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort ONLY, in styles that will not add to the stress. Le Chic Pooches will not be held responsible for accident or injury to an elderly or health-compromised pet during their grooming session.

Pre-existing Conditions

Occasionally, grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after grooming and may require immediate medical attention. In the best interest of your pet, Client designates Le Chic Pooches as agent and understands that if Le Chic Pooches is unable to contact Client first, then Le Chic Pooches, at it’s sole discretion, may engage the services of a veterinarian at Client’s expense at our choice of practice. And we reserve the rights to have your permission automatically granted to contact your veterinarian for any medical records needed to assist any further medical emergency.

Pictures/Videos

Client consents that Le Chic Pooches may take pictures/videos of your pet, before, during and after grooming, and utilize the same for their website, social media and for any and all advertising purposes and non advertising purposes at Le Chic Pooches’ discretion.

Client affirms that they are the rightful legal owner or caregiver to the pet for which services are being rendered.

I, the undersigned, understand and accept the above terms for grooming and maintenance of my pet(s). In consideration of the grooming services, I agree to hold Le Chic Pooches harmless from any and all damage, loss or claims to pet, personal or real property. I acknowledge that the interpretation of the provision is to be read in the broadest sense possible and encompasses any real or perceived negligence and all acts performed reasonably within the scope of service by Le Chic Pooches, its agents, its employees or representatives. The terms, special services or handling shall include, but are not limited to, emergency veterinarian services in the event I am not available.

I authorize Le Chic Pooches and/or their agent thereof to act as my agent in the event of emergency veterinarian services, boarding, care-taking, and/or transportation necessary and agree to pay all costs. Any and all damages, loss or claim shall include, but not be limited to, death, injury or shock. Said pre-existing conditions shall include, but not be limited to advanced age, extreme nervousness, neurosis, illness, previous injury, skin or coat conditions, or medical conditions.
